Are There Really Free Psychic Readings?

Psychic readings are a great addition to your overall wellness because they can help redirect your focus and intention in a more meaningful way.

The problem with psychic readings, however, is that often times people go into them with so much hope and trust in the psychic that they fall prey to many people that truly have no business offering readings, or they don’t take them seriously at all and consider it strictly based on entertainment value.

Here in the Mandeville/Covington area, we work with a lot of clients who are are exploring psychic readings for the first time, and this comes up as a common question, so let’s answer it – is there really such thing as a “free” psychic reading? Here’s my take on it…

No such thing as a free lunch

At the beginning of my spiritual journey I was looking to find a psychic that would give me a quick answer to my problem. I ended up calling an 800 number getting the first minute for free but then being charged a large amount for a not so good reading. Then I asked a friend if they had ever been to a psychic and made my hour appointment and paid money I was prepared to pay and had a great first reading. I didn’t know what to expect but I loved the information and she ended up becoming my teacher/mentor for 3 years! There is no such thing as a free lunch! When you are ready you will find the right psychic you need or I will find you! That is just how the universe works. And if you need to find the wrong one first in order the find the right one, that works too. But don’t expect a lot for free!

If you do find yourself considering a free reading, it is important to ask yourself, “at what cost?” You can also see if the psychic is doing it pro bono at an event? Or a fair? Or are they offering it to the community for free? In those cases, it will be a fun, great experience to participate in and see what kind of message you may receive.

If there truly is no cost except maybe five minutes of your time to complete a quick online quiz, then the hidden cost here is the value of the reading. If you are clicking pre-determined answers in an online style quiz or game in order to receive a reading, it is very likely that you are only receiving a pre-determined reading which is fine but take it for what it is. A free message that you can ponder.

One quick search on the popular search engine, Google, will have you find that there are endless opportunities for “free psychic readings”.

However, clicking through them you will find that they are indeed loaded with numerous red flags (on top of the already glaring red flag attached to the word “free”). If they are asking for more information, such as your hometown, children’s names, pet’s names, school information, and so on, then click right back out of that website and move on.

Ultimately, the lesson to be learned here is that no self-respecting psychic will offer a decent reading for free. True psychics, with training and respect for the practice, take their work very seriously and so they invest themselves into your reading for more than a lot of the online sites will ever offer.

Find Real Answers

Though there are many different levels of fraud that exist in relation to psychic readings, that shouldn’t deter you away from the practice entirely.

In fact, there are many reputable psychics that offer more than just readings in a session, such as a deeper exploration into your life, overall.
